Teacher Training: Learn to Teach
Enroll in the full 200-hour program and gain knowledge and skills to grow as a practitioner and as a yoga teacher. You will deepen your understanding of:
- alignment and action in the postures
- breathing, relaxation, concentration, and meditation
- applied anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
- and philosophy and the language of yoga
…and learn how to share what you have experienced. Your efforts will continue to develop the community of yoga —with infinite possibilities— whether you decide to teach or simply transform your life with that wisdom.
This program includes workshops, special teacher training sessions and an unlimited pass for practice at Yellow Tree Yoga during the months of study. The Yellow Tree Yoga Learn to Teach program will include all information required to earn a 200 hour Yoga Alliance Yoga Teacher certification. You will be required to attend all of workshops and teacher training sessions, as well as complete homework assignments, practice teaching hours, and evaluations. Upon successful completion of this program you will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as and RYT 200.

$270 on the 1st of the month for 7 months
Certification will be held until program payment is complete. Trainees must meet all requirements by within one year (additional fees for program completion after final workshop may apply.) Ask about train-teach/trade options.
Training Program Details
This course is for serious students to expand their knowledge of yoga or give you the training needed to become a certified teacher through Yoga Alliance. This class will be of limited size to keep the quality of instruction to a high standard. Dates and times are determined by group. Take a look at our sample fall workshop topics and overviews.
The required training schedule dates comprise 180 contact hours of Yoga Alliance certified training; these hours are approximate and will be confirmed during the training. This training exceeds Yoga Alliance minimum requirements and makes those who successfully complete all the requirements eligible for YA RYT-200 certification through the National Yoga Alliance Organization. The Training Program will meet as agreed upon by the Program Director and enrolled participants.
- 85 hours Techniques, Training and Practice
- 25 hours Teaching Methodology
- 30 hours Anatomy and Physiology
- 20 hours Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics
- 20 hours Practicum (practice teaching)
Expect approximately 3 hours reading, writing, and practice teaching on your own each week for about 40 weeks (120 non-contact hours).
